7th Feb 2012 Reading Lolita in Tehran

Mixed reaction to this book.  It was quite hard going at times with large tracts of lit crit which I for one felt was a bit showy off. Some of us felt it wouldn't have inspired one to go to uni to read English. It did give some flavour of the life of women in Tehran.
