The Guildford Book Festival runs from 13-22 October. Guess who is likely to go and see Sarah Raven even though she's not going to buy her Wildflowers book (it's £50)?

Arnold Wesker was on Front Row tonight. I thought he was dead. His play 'Kitchen' is on at the National. Anyone want to go?
The play 'The Pitmen Painters' is on again at the Duchess Theatre; it got really good reviews when it was on at the National before so if any one fancies going, I'm up for it.

(this is for my one reader who isn't even in our book club)
We all met at Angela's for a delicious home grown (eat your heart Monty 'fork to fork' Don) and discussed what we had read, except for me. I confess I didn't read a single book all summer.
Some of the book club had even come prepared with their choice for the coming book reading year. I hadn't done that either. Pretty poor show all in all. Must do better next year, a phrase quite probably overused by Louise every report writing season.
The choices so far are on the side bar.
Liz T, Angela, Rosie, Sam and I need to come up with our suggestions for the next meeting, which will be Thursday October 13th at Caroline's house.
